How to lock Honeywell 6000 thermostat

  • Go to “Up” and “Down” buttons to the right of the LCD display on your Honeywell thermostat.
  • Tap “Up” and “Down” until you get to the desired temperature on the display.
  • Press the button beneath “Hold” on the LCD display.
  • “Permanent Hold” will appear on the screen.
  • Your thermostat is successfully locked.

  • Set your wake up time and temperature until when leaving your house.
  • For overnight control, set energy saving time and temperature you want while you are away.
  • Set to the time you return home and the temperature during the evening, until bedtime.
  • Set to the time you go to bed and the overnight  energy saving temperature

Adjusting program schedule

  • Press SET CLOCK/DAY/SCHEDULE,
  • Then SET SCHEDULE.
  • Press Vor W to set your weekday Wake time (Mon–Fri),
  • Press NEXT.
  • Press Vor W to set the temperature for this time period,
  • Press NEXT. Weekday time period.
  • Press NEXT to set weekend time periods (Sat/Sun),
  • Press DONE
  • Set your thermostat system to program (Heat or Cool)

Turning up the heat the morning is automatically lowered later when you leave for the day.

To cancel the temporary setting at any time, press RUN SCHEDULE.

Restoring default settings

  • Press SET CLOCK/DAY/SCHEDULE.
  • Press SET SCHEDULE.
  • Press DONE and NEXT at the same time for 4 seconds.

Auto Change Over

  • Auto Changeover is a feature used in climates where both heating and AC  are used on the same day. When set to Auto, the thermostat automatically selects heating or cooling depending on the corresponding indoor temperature.
  • However the Heat and cool settings must be set at 3 degrees apart. The thermostat automatically adjusts its settings maintaining the unchangeable dead band (this 3-degree separation).

How to configure wifi in Honeywell 6000 thermostat

Using WPS

  • Press the Menu button to open the menu.
  • Go to FAN MODE displayed.
  • Press the down button until NETWORK is displayed.
  • Press the Mode button to enter the NETWORK menu.
  • WPS NOW should be displayed.
  • Press the Mode button again to start WPS.
  • WPS ON will be displayed.
  • Press the WPS button on your router.
  • After about 30 seconds, the menu should countdown RESTART starting from 10
  • The thermostat should now be joined to your Wi-Fi network
  • You Verify the network name with the NETWORK / SSID
  • Press the Menu button to open the menu.
  • Go to FAN MODE displayed.
  • Press the down button until NETWORK is displayed.
  • Press the Mode button to enter the NETWORK menu.
  • WPS NOW should be displayed.
  • Press the Mode button again to start WPS.
  • WPS ON will be displayed.

Joining using an access point name

  • Press the Mode button to start the access point.
  • THERM-XXX is displayed. This label alternates with WIFI ON
  • Use a computer or mobile device to connect to the Wi-Fi network of your Thermostat.
  • The network name should look similar to THERM-XXX.
  • (You may get a “you are not connected to the Internet” warning) but this is usual for device setup.
  • Launch a new Web browser window on your computer or mobile device to connect to the thermostat
  • Select the “Reset Wi-Fi Configuration” button to show a list of wireless networks. (The step will clear previous configurations on the thermostat).
  • Choose your  home network from the list,
  • Enter the network password,
  • Press the “Connect” button.
  • Upon successful connection, the thermostat display will count down RESTART 10, 9, 8 …
  • The thermostat is now connected to your home network.
  • Reconnect your computer or mobile device to its original wireless network (not THERM-nnnn) and resume installation with your original browser.

How to change the battery in Honeywell 6000 thermostat
