- Download and install the Amazon Alexa app to your smartphone.
- Open the app and go to the devices button. It is at the bottom of the screen with a round shape.
- It will open a new page, and at the top right corner, you will see a plus sign. Press it to add a device.
- It will show you the different devices that you can add, select to add a thermostat.
- The next page will show you all the different thermostats that are compatible with Alexa. Select the brand of your thermostat.
- If you haven’t downloaded the thermostat brand app, you have to do that first and set it up.
- Go back to the Alexa app and select continue.
- Tap enable skill, log into your thermostat’s account and search devices.
- Select your device and finally click on accept. Ensure that it works by testing it out.
